Can you still get Boots points when you buy from Clinique counters in Boots stores? Hi everyone Does anyone know if you can still get Boots Advantage points if you buy tihngs from the in-store Boots beauty counters (e.g. Estee Lauder counters, or Clinique counters, etc?) Or can you only earn points on normal non-expensive stuff?

no1hyperfan replied: "it depends on the store."

Izzy replied: "simple answer - yes. Only thing I think you can't get points is at the chemist & on stamps. Maybe not on top up but not sure."

Rayne replied: "If you have to use your Boots card during the transaction then yes you will get points =)"

♥pink_chik♥ replied: "yeah u can still get the points"

How does the boots points system work? Right now they're offering 600 points on your card, but how does that work in terms of pounds? Thanks x

Lauren C replied: "600 points is £6. basicly every time you buy something you pay in cash then give them your boots card and you get points depending on how mcuh you spend, then when you have enough points you cant buy stuff with the points, its basicly like a rewards system"

laiteesha replied: "Say if you buy something worth £60. That means if you pay cash and with your boots card you will have 60 points on your card. E.G say if you wanted to buy something worth £2.00 and you had 300 points on your card If you pay with your card u will be left with 100 pointa hoped i helped love leanne xxxx"

contraversy replied: "Check my source below. It's a direct link to the Boots Advantage Card Questions & Answers page. Hope this helps."

k2 replied: "£1 yeh u can buy anything wid erm, the advantage card point is where u can see special offers and check your points."

jojeba replied: "Each point is worth 1p, which may not sound like much but if you shop at Boots regularly, it really adds up! I find it's one of the most easiest, and generous points-systems on the high street. About once a month I end up with enough points to buy some new body moisturiser or shampoo... or sometimes I might use my points to buy my lunch! Once you have a Boots card, you can register it on Boots.co.uk and you can check your balance whenver you are online."

Fashionmanic replied: "100 points = £1"

do you get boots points when spending your voucher ? ? i have been given a boots gift voucher do you get points on your advantage card when you spend the voucher ? or does the person who purchased the voucher get points ?

Philip W replied: "Yes, you get the points when you spend the voucher, not when you buy it."

Boots points for developing photos? If you get photos developed in Boots do you receive points on your card when you pay?

Felix replied: "nope.."

Boots advantage points?!?!? Have a few questions about boots advantage card and points system!!! How much is 1 boots point worth?!? Can i cash out or trade for vouchers?!? How much 300 points worth?!? Thanks!

Gavin C replied: "1 p No 3 pounds"

'Old & Cudley' replied: "Yahoo points have no monetary value, just value to each person (prestige)"

new nanna replied: "Penny per point. You have to buy good, and you cant part pay with points. You cant trade for vouchers. 300 are worth £3.00 - so you could buy goods to the value of £3 or less."

i ordered something from boots online..when is the despatch day? it said on their website that i can collect my boots points from any boots kiosk 5days from the despatch date..does that mean starting from the day i ordered or the day i recieve it??

p replied: "basically so you order it on monday then it gets dispatch on wednesday. then you get boot points from monday"

jenma replied: "Will be from the day you ordered your item... so if you ordered monday your point should be on your advantage card friday, if not been added the friday just take your receipt into your local store and they should be able to add them for you."

Starshine replied: "p is right, order monday, despatch wednesday, collect points instore monday.............. 5 days from despatch date, just keep checking ur account online to see when the order has been despatched!!"

What makes a durable pair of boots (suitable for LOTS of walking/running)? So what makes a durable pair of boots? Points to consider: Construction method/quality/country of origin? Materials? What kind of soles? I expect to be doing 40 miles a week in these boots so durability is more of a concern to me than price. If you can go further and make a recommendation, I would like a pair of boots that: are Black Leather (easy to clean) Have Steel Toe Caps and go up on the leg like real boots (have more eyelets..not like the 'trainer boots)

Life for Love replied: "how i can tell you."

Kellieee. replied: "Pick a well known make, because they are usually well known for fantastic shoes. Don't buy cheap shoes, expensive shoes are known to last well. Buy a deasant material. Not suede or anything silly like that! (DUH!) Lolzzz. hope this helps. xx"

funsnarlbuckle replied: "First of all, you'll want real leather and none of that imitation stuff. Cloths like canvas and nylon (like the kind used in shoulder straps) are quite durable as well. Forget those white foam soles, and even rubber wears out against abrasive surfaces after a lot of use. The best soles I found were a sort of oil-resistant and dense brown foam found on steel-toe work boots. The brand was Brahma if i remember correctly. My Brahma work boots were great, but I didn't put nearly as many miles in them as I did in a pair of modern combat boots. Some people complain about the comfort, but I love them for a cheap, durable, all purpose boot that I can depend on."

Here's Tommy! AM replied: "Magnums; these boots are awesome, they are so comfortable when you wear them you think they are trainers. They are durable, you can get steel capped ones too. These boots are easy to polish"

Moodos replied: "getting a full grain leather boot rather than say nubuck leather will increase durability. Soles consider the type of terrain you'll cover flat path's, trails, get something with a flexible sole however if it's more rougher terrain/hills you'll cover look for a much stiffer sole. Get that wrong and you can wear through sole pretty quick. Also look to see how the upper of the boot is constructed if it's lots of leather pieces stitched together it has a better chance of breaking than if it's one or two pieces. Hi-tec Magnum as stated previous is a good budget shout (paying around £50) should be available in Millets, check out Meindl Burma boots also. (available i some Blacks stores)"

AIRFLO replied: "If you want a boot that is for running and hiking then you dont need steel toe caps as these are heavy also leather boots arent as good as the new materials available as for makes check out merrel if you want steel toe caps lookfor working boots eg from dewalt"

Cal_7 replied: "i have the perfect type of boot for you they are called Magnums, leather black easy to clean but beware of the cheap copies like grafters"

Why do you believe in the Bible when its not here anymore? Go ask Italy? Notice the country is in the shape of a boot, pointing west? Is that to kick you out again?

Luci J replied: "I usually ignore your questions not because I have any hard feeling toward you just simply because I know you probably don't want me answering them. But I cannot ignore this one...what do you mean by the bible not being here anymore? I am Italian. What exactly do you mean when you write 'the boot kicking people out that is why it is pointing west' statement."
